Cutie-Pa-Tootie!

So this is what happens when I get my camera out these days.....
Charlie goes into attack mode and will do anything he can to get his hands on my camera....which is a BIG no, no, by the way!! I tell him, "ok Charlie, mommy's going to take your picture" and he steps back......

and says "chhhhheeeessseeeeee!!"

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this baby boy!!

Playdate with friends!!

Last night we had some friends over to play for a little while. It is so much fun to watch these little guys play together.....like it or not, they're going to see a lot of each other growing up -- good thing they play so well!! =)

Reese attempting to hug Scarlett -- more like a bear hug.....

good thing she likes it!!

LOVE this tooth-less grin!!

Charlie teaching her a thing or two!!

Bike-riding fun!!

Remember this picture???
(Charlie 5mo and Reese 16mo)
We've come a long way since then!!

Saturday was such a pretty day! Joe and I decided to make the most of it, so we took the kids for a bike ride. They LOVED it!! We even found a big open field while riding and threw the frisbee for a little while. After we wore ourselves out playing, we had a picnic by a big pretty lake.....by the time we got home the kids were pooped! I hope this kind of weather sticks around for a while....I've got spring fever big time! =)

Getting better.....

On Valentine's Day, just before church, Joe took the kids outside to let the dogs out. Under Joe's watchful eye, Charlie face-planted on the concrete and suffered a nice long scratch down the center of his cute little nose.....

it's getting better every day -- we cannot go ANYWHERE without someone stopping us to see what happened. Funny thing is, it hasn't stopped or slowed down Charlie one bit. I don't even think he knows it's there!

Piggy Tails!!

Reese has her hair in pigtails today for the first time.....

....she could not be more proud and excited!

Big Girl Bed!

We slept in our big girl bed last night!! Yayyyyy! I was SO nervous, probably more nervous than Reese!! I have heard horror stories of moving toddlers to their big beds and I was fully prepared for a LONG night. Well, no need here. Reese did so good. She climbed up into her big girl bed and stayed there until 9am this morning! yayyyyy!! It did take her a little while to finally fall asleep last night -- she kept sitting up and looking around, but she never cried and she was so proud of herself this morning when I went to get her. Yayyyyyy Reese!

....finally fell asleep!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Daddy's Little Girl....

I bought Reese a Valentine's Day card to give to her Daddy this year......

.....that's some of the best lovin' around!!

Valentine's at Mimi & Poppa's

We had Valentine's over at Mimi and Poppa's house today after church. The kids got lots of goodies and a few new swim suits for the summer.....yippeeee!! Aunt Shelia, Hope, Maci and Mason even came over to visit. Hope you all had a Happy Valentine's Day too!!

Maci and Reese

wow, the madness!!!

Valentine's Bags

Reese had to make Valentine's Bags to take to her party at MDO. We turned it into a learning opportunity and let her pick out the different color hearts and let her count 4 Hershey kisses into each bag. She thought she was such a big girl sitting on the counter -- little stinker!

"I do it".....

All we hear around here lately is, "I do it, Reese is a big girl." Anything she does now, she wants to do by herself which in turn makes for some pretty lengthy mornings. She especially wants to dress and undress herself. Yesterday when we got home from church she immediately started undressing....."like a big girl"

Charlie's catching on too.....

15 months already??

We had Charlie's 15mo check up this morning and all is well -- except he has a left ear infection....boo! He is growing like a weed and right on track developmentally!! Here's his stats:
Wt:27.8lbs (80%)
Ht: 33 3/4" (110%)
HC: 19" (60%)
Looks like we are going to have us a tall little man on our hands!! He is talking and singing really well and LOVES to do the "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes" dance with Reese. He follows Reese everywhere she goes and tries to do everything she does.....which drives her crazy! We registered him for MDO next fall at the same school as Reese, which means he is going to be a big boy....sniff, sniff! No shots today because of that ear infection, but we'll catch him up later. All in all, a good visit! Charlie man, we love you!! =)

Love, love, love....

...my blog book. I must say, I've been working on this book since the beginning of December, and it took a LONG time to complete, but it is, hands down, my most favorite thing I've done for my children yet. I have captured every big, and most of the small memories of the "First Adventures of Reese and Charlie" -- that's the title of the book -- and put it into book form. When it arrived today, it brought giant tears to my eyes when I sat down and read over all the things that have happened/changed over the past year. It's so funny how you think you'll never forget this or that, but you do, and I'm so happy to have this book for them. If you have a blog and want to make a book, I highly recommend blurb.com -- it is so worth it!!

this is the cover of the book

just a few pages of the inside (it's almost 300 pages long!)

this is the back cover of the book and one of my favorite pictures of these two.
I must give a big thank you to Morgan for helping me with my book -- you REALLY helped me get this thing going and I appreciate it so much!!! =)

We're going to the Circus!!

It was raining outside and yuck so I put the kids in their rain jackets....for some reason they thought they were so cute!! =)

waiting patiently for the Circus to begin
we were all SO surprised at how still Charlie sat -- this boy doesn't sit still for ANYTHING these days -- he did so good! We were on the 4th row and I think the size of the elephants and all the action taking place right before his very eyes did the trick. It made for a very enjoyable time!

her favorite person in the world

we even got a family shot!!
