Bath buddies

Bath time at our house is a lot of fun. Charlie has just gotten to where he can sit up in his bath seat and "play" with Reese....he thinks she is hilarious and I think she really enjoys his company too!!

We've reverted!!! Joe takes Charlie out of the bathtub first and gets him dressed and ready for bed...now that Charlie's seat is in the tub Reese will NOT get out of the tub without sitting in it herself -- too funny!!

Still quiet....

While I was getting us all ready to go and run errands, it was unusually quiet again, so I naturally went to see what was going on.....

You know those crazy screen savers that are on the computer? Well, Joe put both the kids in his lap, put on some nice music and let them watch the "crazy screen saver".....they loved it!

Mesmerized!!!!

By the way, we are still coughing like crazy and snotty -- but no fevers, so MAYBE we are getting better!!!! Yayyyyy!!

Unusually quiet

Charlie has found his voice now and LOVES to babble and ooh and goo. This morning when I got out of the shower, Reese was in the bathroom with me playing. When I didn't hear Joe or Charlie, I knew something was up......

This is what I found -- Joe and Chalie playing PSP!!!

Really close in size!!

Just to give you an idea of how CLOSE in size they really are!!! We have been sick for what seems like forever, but what is really about 9 days now. Charlie is on an antibiotic for an ear infection and wheezing and Reese is on an antibiotic for bronchiolitis (which Charlie also has)....it has been a long week in this house and I am looking forward to the cough and fever free nights and days we used to enjoy!!

SURPRISE!!!!

On Saturday night I threw a SURPRISE party for Joe....he had NO idea!! Lots of friends and family were there and we had such a good time. Thank you so much to everyone who came and helped make this so much fun -- Thank you Mimi, Poppa and Kristen for decorating -- I couldn't have done it without ya'll!!

My Camera died....

On Thursday (Joe's actual b'day) I had a small family get together for Joe....he had no idea and was so surprised. I didn't pay attention and my camera battery died, so all I have is pictures I took before everyone got there -- sooo sad. Anyways, we had a good time and Joe was excited. He had no idea what was in store for Saturday night!!

Birthday Eve....

Reese LOVES cupcakes!!

Joe turned the big 3-0 on March 19th, so for his birthday eve, I made him cupcakes! They were soooooo yummy. We even let the dogs join in -- they were very happy about that!! =)

We have 2 teeth!!

Can you see them??? Charlie has 2 teeth now! Reese cut her first tooth at 4 months as well....Charlie didn't even really fuss with them, just a little extra drooling and a low grade fever!

We LOVE bananas!!

Yesterday at dinner we decided to try out banana's with Charlie. He has gotten where he will stare at us while we eat, and lick his lips, so I figured it was time. He LOVED them. He giggled and slurped and ate half of a level 1 jar!! I don't think I'm going to have any trouble with him eating good!!

Big Boy Highchair!!

We went and got Charlie a big boy highchair this weekend so he can sit with us at the table at mealtime. He loves it.....we are now a family of 4 at the table!!

Charlie's 4 month check up

We had Charlie's 4mo check up today and he is doing wonderful!! He is holding his head up good, laughing at Reese, ooh'ing and goo'ing A LOT and is probably one of the best babies out there!! He rarely cries, sleeps 12-13 hours a night and is sooooo easy going. He weighed in at 19lb 2oz (in the 100%) and was 27 1/2 inches tall (also 100%).....needless to say, he's a big boy!! He is about to cut his first 2 teeth -- you can barely see them in his gum line, so we have been gnawing and drooling like crazy these past few days. He had to get one shot today so Tylenol is our friend right now!!! I can't believe my baby is 4mo old already.....wow, time flies!!

I never get tired....

....of watching my babies sleep. The most peaceful thing in the world.

While Joe played in his softball league tonight, Reese played with his I-pod!! She is so funny when you turn it on and she hears the music coming through the earbuds. She sits real still and listens so seriously....if you give her long enough to figure out what's going on she'll give you a little dance....too cute!!

Enjoying the pretty weather!

Friday was such a pretty day that we decided to take full advantage! Joe and I loaded up the bikes and took the kids for their first joint bike ride!! Reese has been several times with us before, but Charlie had never gone and he did great! He slept pretty much the entire time and Reese sang and giggled as usual! Both kids were sleeping by the end of the ride....so much fun!

Reese is hilarious with her blankie. She loves on it, bites it, plays with it and carries it EVERYWHERE we go. Dare you try and take it from her and it's a complete meltdown!! Who knew a 15mo old could be so attatched to something?!?!?!
