6 Months Old!!!

I know everyone always says this, but I can't believe my baby is 6mo old.....where has the time gone? He is growing up so fast and is such a little lovebug. He NEVER cries (and I mean NEVER), he sleeps wonderfully, eats VERY well, loves to watch his big sister, and goes and does any and every thing we want him to do. We had our 6mo check up today and all is well. We are finally on the chart in height and weight (yayyyyy!!)-- Charlie weighed in at 21lbs (95%) and is 28 1/4" (95%) -- he had to get 2 nasty shots and although he was not too happy about it, he recovered quickly (thanks nurse Jennie!!). While there, we weighed Reese as well and wouldn't you know, she weighs 21lbs too (5%) -- she is so tiny and he is so big!! Reese also had to get a shot and she was not in the least bit happy about it, but also recovered well when she was handed a roll of Sweet Tarts.....doesn't take much!!

My mom and dad went on vacation so we got to keep their dog, Lily. Reese LOVES Lily and they keep each other busy which is good for me!!! Here we are playing outside -- they were both so dirty when we were all done....

Lake Trip!!!

We went to the lake this weekend with Pawpaw and LaLa and it was beautiful! We had such a wonderful time. It was Charlie's first trip to the lake and he did so good. Reese was much different this year compared to last year -- she loved all the lake activities and was worn slap out by the time bedtime came each night. Every time the boat took off Reese would say "weeeeeee" and laugh. We stayed outside most everyday, would come in and grill out for dinner and then the boys would play Wii while Laverne and I drank wine....it was such a good relaxing weekend! We can't wait to go back!!

Growing up....

I know this may sound crazy, but I am having a really hard time with my little girl growing up. Today was a big day for her -- we went and signed her up for Mother's Day Out. I have had her on a waiting list so I knew it was a possibility, but when the opening became available and I had to actually go and sign her up, it hit me like a ton of bricks.....she really is getting to be a big girl. We went this morning and had a final tour of the place and met some of the kids that will be in her class and she did so good. Once she entered the gym where the kids were playing she immediately (without even a pause) went to join in on all the excitement -- she didn't even look back to see if I was still there. Once it was time to go, I had to go and get her and MAKE her leave.....I fought back tears the whole time -- my little angel is growing up. She will start June 2nd and go 2 days a week from 9am-1pm -- I think it's going to be harder on me than on anyone else.....I'm already dreading June!!

New Trike!!

I have been telling Reese for some time now that her daddy and I were going to buy her a new tricycle so she can play with all the other kids in our cul-de-sac. Today, we made that happen and bought her her very own Radio Flyer Tricycle!! She did wonderful --she is still not really good at pedalling, but she is at least interested and seems to like it!! Today was such a beautiful day, we had such a good time playing outside....I hope it stays this pretty!

Like I said in an earlier post, Reese is "baby crazy" right now. All she wants to do is carry her babies, rock her babies, feed her babies, etc. Well, she would have it no other way this morning than to push Charlie in HER stroller......hilarious. Poor Charlie.....

Happy Easter!!!

Hope everyone had a happy Easter. We had so much fun. We started the day off by going to Church and having an Easter Egg hunt there, then went to Mimi and Poppa's for lunch and another Easter Egg hunt! My aunt and cousins came over and we had so much fun with the kids outside. We hid money in the Easter Eggs for Maci and Mason, so they were VERY competitive in seeing who could collect the most eggs. Reese was content finding the eggs with the chocolate in them (she ate her weight in chocolate today) and had such a fun, busy day. Thank you Mimi, Poppa, Kristen, Shelia, Hope, Maci and Mason for all the kids goodies.....as usual, they had a LOT of stuff to open.

Friday night we had dinner with AV and LaVerne and they gave the kids their Easter presents....aren't they so cute? They both got a stuffed animal and new fuzzy blankets. I was a bad mom and forgot my camera -- sorry!!!! Here's a pic of the kids loving on their animals once we got home....thanks Pawpaw and LaLa -- they love them!!

Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt

Easter started off very busy this year. The kids started off Easter with an Easter Egg Hunt in our neighborhood on Wednesday. Reese did very good hunting the eggs (wasn't sure if she would get the concept of putting them in the basket or not), and even got to meet a real bunny. Charlie was just along for the ride, but as usual, had a wonderful time!!!
