9 months old....

My sweet Charlie is 9mo old today....where has the time gone? I swear it feels like just yesterday he was a tiny little thing sitting so still in my arms.....that is definitely not the case anymore. He is active, active, active. He wants to crawl so bad and is so close....he scoots, rolls, and swims his way around, usually to get to whatever Reese has or is doing. He loves her. When she is not around, he seems to look for her and any sound that is made he looks at me as if to say, "is that her mommy??" He is still the most precious, mild mannered, sweet angel baby around. He rarely cries, goes any and wherever I want to take him without fuss, and loves just about anyone. He has 6 teeth (yes, 6!!), eats like a champ and is doing really well with table foods. We had his check up today and here are his stats:

Wt: 24lbs 8oz (that's 95%)

Ht: 29" (that's 75%)

and Head Circ: 18" (that's 65%)

Dr. Wilson says he perfect, healthy and right on track developmentally. I thank God everyday for giving me such healthy babies.....we really are fortunate. Charlie also had to get a shot -- he just whimpered a little, but he also had to get his finger pricked....which he did not like ONE bit. Reese went with us today and I decided to stick her on the scale too -- bless her tiny little heart-- with all her clothes on and her shoes, she weighed in at 22lbs!! Charlie has her by almost 3lbs!!
She got a shot too, which, you guessed it, she was NOT happy about. After some Mimi love (thanks for going with us mom!!) and a surprise snack, all is well and both of my precious babies are napping.

Sweat shop!!!!

Some friends and I have been taking a sewing class and we're OBSESSED!! On Monday, all the girls came over and we had a little sewing sweat shop going in my dining room! We had such a good time and got LOTS done despite all the kids running around screaming. We had 6 kids running around and they had lots of fun playing and tearing up my house!! I am going to post pics soon of the finished products I've sewn....I've already made 4 outfits -- 2 for Charlie and 2 for Reese.....they are so precious. I have found my new calling!!!! =)

If you look closely, you can see that's Reese all stretched out in her crib with her feet hanging out -- she even has her hands behind her head as if she were lounging!!! Couldn't pass this picture up!!

Friday night we had several friends over.....Reese and Philip were too cute pushing each other around in the stroller!! And yes, Philip has on a Superman onesie complete with a cape -- Joe was so envious, he's put in an order for Charlie to have one too!!!

FINALLY!!!!

After 2 weeks of being on back order, Charlie's big boy car seat finally arrived today!! Yayyyyyy!!! He has long outgrown the infant seat, so we are all relieved that he can ride more comfortably now. He didn't tell me so, but I know he is really excited!!!

Trouble, trouble.....

.....for some reason, Reese thought it would be a good idea to take ALL the diapers off of the changing table... ...and put them in her pink pumpkin. Seems like a great idea, right??

We're goin' to the casino's.....

We decided to take a last minute trip to the casino's this weekend with my mom and dad. We had SOOOOOO much fun! We all took turns gambling while someone watched the kiddos. It was such a good little get away -- Reese and Charlie LOVED the casinos -- lot's of lights and sounds were the perfect entertainment!! You can't have your camera in the casinos, so I have a lot of random pictures.....

Cereal and "Milp"

Reese had her first bowl of cereal and "milp" this morning and she did really good. We had a lot of "milp" in her bib, but overall, she got a lot of Honey Nut Cheerios in her mouth!! She loved it too!! My sweet girl -- growing up so fast (sniff, sniff)

Fun with Friends

Saturday night, we had some friends over to hang out and let the kids play -- Reese, Will and Audrey are all within 5months of age, so they played pretty good together -- they were like little tornadoes -- you should have seen the house when they got done playing!! Too much fun -- thanks for coming over and playing guys!!!

....to have this much fun with a shopping cart!!! Reese is really into shopping/gathering/strolling around the house these days, so we decided she needed a shopping cart. To say she enjoys it is putting it lightly!!! She must walk 3 miles a day around the house pushing this thing -- and she won't push it unless her baby is sitting in it with her -- too cute!!

Mommy and Charlie......

EVERYTIME we go to the mall, Reese HAS to ride the carousel. Mom is usually with us so she and Reese will ride and Charlie and I will stay back and watch and sit with our stroller/purses, etc. Well, today was Reese's last day of MDO, so, my friend Katie and I met for lunch and a little shopping, and we decided to ride the carousel with the boys.....they loved it. Charlie and Austin both smiled almost the entire time. Thank goodness Katie had her camera to catch these sweet little boy's faces.....I think the pictures speak for themselves!!

Playdate at Jenn's.....

Instead of going to the water park yesterday we went to Jenn's to let the kids play. It was so gross outside and an indoor play date was a nice change of pace for the kids. They had lots of fun destroying Jenn's house -- by the time we left, her floors were covered from wall to wall with toys.....thanks Jenn for letting us play!!!
