Ewwwwwww, gross!

Just before Spring Break, Reese's school had a local pet shop come out and bring some animals for the kids to see and hold. Reese's sweet teachers sent me these pics........all I could say was, gross! No way I would have held these things, but my little girl was apparently all about it!

Mia's First Tooth!!

My sweet angel got her first bottom tooth this weekend! We noticed it had popped through on Sunday and the one right next to it is about to pop through as well.......so painful. She has been a very happy baby, you would never know she is teething, but that has to hurt! Reese is so excited, she thinks "the children can feed her now" -- I'm so afraid one day I'm going to look over and they're going to be feeding Mia a hamburger or something. I tell them everyday, "only mommy can feed Mia right now", but you know how much kiddos listen. They are getting more and more brave with her everyday. Oh Lord, please let us survive this stage of life unharmed!!!!

Charlie is Playing Soccer!!

Saturday was Charlie's first soccer practice and he LOVED it! He was so pumped that he got to put on cleats and take his daddy with him on the field! He actually did really well, soccer is not something that Joe or I played, so we're all learning!! He keeps telling us, "I'm gonna cream that ball!" Reese went along to help cheer him on and one of her little friends, Kate, is playing too. I'm not sure if Kate played with the "mini kickers" or Reese more, it was a toss up! Such a pretty day and such a great energy burner for the kiddos!!! Good job Charlie man!

Blue Jeans

Let me just start this post with a little background info on me and bluejeans. While I have no problem in other little girls wearing bluejeans, I have chosen to not put my Reese (or Mia for that matter!) in blue jeans up until this point in her little life. I wear blue jeans, Charlie wears blue jeans, and Joe wears blue jeans. I have nothing against the jeans themselves, I just love dressing Reese in big ol' ruffle pants, anything with polka dots and dresses galore. The way I look at it, she has the rest of her life to wear jeans, so I'm putting it off as long as I can. Plus, I think it makes her look so grown up to wear jeans, and I'm not ready for that yet, so I've put it off as long as I can. ANYWAYS, with that being said, my mom and dad give me a hard time about letting her wear jeans, and she'd look so cute, and blah, blah, blah. So, I caved and bought a pair a LONG time ago. They have hung in her closet all winter long and every time I ask her to wear them, she says she doesn't want too, so I, naturally, agree. Until today. I decided that since I bought them, it was time to try them out and what better way, than to put them on and go outside and play, right?! Well, just have a look at the pictures below. She screamed, and hooted and hollered for a good 15 minutes about how she "doesn't like these pants, they're squeezing me to death, pppppllllleaaaseeee give me my ruffle pants." I tried and tried to convince her it would be fine, but then I realized it was a battle I wasn't choosing to have. I don't like them anyways, and now I can say I tried, so there you have it Mimi and Poppa. Reese doesn't like blue jeans either! Now we're both happy!! We're just a touch dramatic don't you think? I tell Joe everyday I can hardly wait until she's a teenager.......geez, we're dealing with a sassy one!!

Sick Buddy

My sweet Charlie man has been so sick these past few days. He has had some type of viral "croup-like" bug that will not go away! We ended up in the ER Saturday night/morning from 2:30am-5am getting breathing treatments and chest xrays......NO FUN. He finished his steroids yesterday and has finally turned the corner and is starting to feel better. Life in this household has been no fun......neither Charlie, nor myself have slept in days. To top it all off, Mia has a double ear infection and is on antibiotics too. She is still running fever, so I hope her antibiotics kick in soon......ahhhhhhhhh, happy happy day!

Mmmmmmmmm......

Mia had her first "finger food" today! These are MAM's, a banana flavored rice husk and she LOVED them! She actually ate 2 of them in about 15 minutes!! Reese and Charlie used to love these too, so I've been anxiously awaiting the "perfect time" to let our sweet Mia try one. It's so much fun to watch them try new things!!

Soccer Time!

Our sweet Charlie is getting ready to play his first ever team sport.....soccer! He could not be more excited. His cleats and his (deflated) ball came in the mail yesterday and we could not get them out of the box fast enough. As soon as Joe made it into the driveway, Charlie had him blowing up the ball!! He starts in a couple of weeks, so there will be LOTS of pics to come. Cannot wait to watch my little man!!!
