Reese is a Swimmer!!!

It has been a LONG 2 weeks of swim lessons, but the ultimate goal of Reese learning to swim has been accomplished!! Although she is not a fan at ALL of being taken from her mommy, once she's in the pool, she swims wonderfully. Today was her last day, complete with a pool party and lots of fun! All the daddy's came to watch and enjoy the fun and the girls had a blast! I'm glad it's over.....like I said, it's been a long 2 weeks, going everyday can be very tiring on everyone, now we're ready to go to the pool and play and practice, practice, practice!!! Job well done my little fishy!!!

Mommy and daddy are so proud of you sweet Reese. You are the most precious, beautiful, sassy, and loving little girl ever! This is the first of many milestones and we could not be more proud!!

Girls Trip -- Bahama's here we come!!!

I was WAY overdue for a girls trip, and this year, lucky for me and my girlfriends, we had one of the best in girls history!! Last Thursday, we flew to the Bahamas and stayed for a long weekend. We had a suite at the Hilton Resort and enjoyed lots of Miami Vice's (strawberry daiquiri with pina coloda mixed!!) I would have to say the highlight for me was spending the day at the Atlantis. This was of course my idea, I love a water park, and couple of the girls were not so sure at first, but by the end of the day, none of us wanted to leave!! We caught the first ferry ride over to Paradise Island and stayed so late we had to cab it back.....fun, fun, fun!!! We had lots of yummy meals, went to the straw market, and our last day we spent on the beach ALL day doing nothing but drinking daiquiri's and eating chicken fingers while frolicking in the ocean! It was bittersweet to leave -- I had so much fun, but I missed my babies SO badly. It was so good to get home and see their sweet faces. This girls trip is going to be a hard one to top -- can't wait till next years!!!!

Anyone that knows me, knows I have a hard time flying. I have flown all my life, but something happened when I had kids and now I HATE it......nothing a little Vodka and the Hills can't fix!!

Bad Blogger

I have been a bad blogger these past few days. I just got back from a girls trip yesterday (pics to come) and getting back home and getting back into the swing of things has been very busy! Last night Joe had a softball game so me and the kids went along to help cheer him on! I forgot my camera, but thanks to Jennie, we got this cute little pic of the kiddos enjoying a snack on the bleachers!!

Swim Lessons -- Day 1 (Not good!!)

You see these faces? Well that just about sums up our first day of swim lessons today. These girls were NOT happy at all, and I mean that very literally. A couple of friends and I enrolled the girls in some pretty hard core swim lessons and I don't think the crying stopped for more than a couple of minutes the entire lesson. It is such a good program, if we can only get past the first few days, apparently, they then "love" it??? Today was pretty much all about going under, holding your breath, kicking your legs, paddling your arms, you know, the basics of swimming. Well, Reese couldn't get past the "going under" part and was hysterical every time the poor instructor took her from me. It only lasted an hour, but we were all physically, mentally and emotionally drained after it was all over. We have 10 straight days of this, so I hope the "liking it" comes sooner rather than later. Reese even threw up today (just water, but still!!!). I don't know how many more days of this I can take!!!! Wish us luck tomorrow!! Of course, after all this was over today, we took the girls to get a treat and then all was well -- I'm not sure I'll be able to get her out of the car tomorrow when we pull up again!! Prayers please!!!!

Memorial Day Weekend

We went to the Lake this weekend to spend some QT with PawPaw and LaLa. The kids had a blast. They just got a new place that has a pool -- something we've never had at the lake, but now, can't imagine NOT having!! Weather wasn't great, but it was just pretty enough to play in the pool and take a boat ride each day! Hope you all had a great Memorial Day!!

Mr. Cool Pants

Mr. Cool Pants here turned 19mo old (gasp!!) on Saturday. He is my little fireball. This little boy keeps his momma on her toes at ALL times. Last week, he decided he wanted out of his crib.....so what do you think he did? Yep, climbed right out and hit the floor with a thud. I thought I was going to have a heart attack. Charlie man, I love your spunk and you make life SO entertaining. Keep on doing what you do and remember, mommy and daddy LOVE YOU!!!!
