Update on Reese! She is doing wonderfully! The hardest part of this entire process has been trying to get her to "take it easy!" She hasn't missed a beat all week. It's hard to believe just 7 days ago she had heart surgery.....so so blessed!
Came to check out your blog. I, too, was born with a hole in my heart. Not as big as Miss Reese's - but in 1971, when repairs for those were rarely done, it was very scary for my parents. Mine closed on its own when I was ten and even now - and I'm 40! - my mother will still ask if I've told doctors about my heart. So glad her surgery went well - will check back soon to read about Mia's arrival!
Reece's Rainbow is a charity that is very close to my heart. So many precious children have been institutionalized and want nothing more than a mommy and a daddy. I hope to make one of these angels a part of our family one day, but in the meantime, donations and advocating for them will have to do. If you can help, please click on the link above and it will take you to their site!
