Mia is 7 months!!

How is she 7 months old already? She is growing and changing right before my very eyes! Mia baby, you are such a delight! You have to be the sweetest baby alive. You are still so very mellow and go with the fast pace of our family's life with such ease!! You are trying your darnedest to figure out how to crawl. You can scoot just about anywhere on your tummy and will turn in circles or roll to get where you wanna go!! You have settled yourself into a nice 2-3 hour afternoon nap -- and have just decided you don't want to be rocked to sleep anymore, sniff, sniff. What a blessing it is that you want to just be laid into your crib to go to sleep on your own. Mommy gets lots of rocking and loving in during the day to make up for that loss of snuggle time before bed!! I just left you for the first time (other than with grandparents) at the club for ONE hour while mommy played tennis -- you did very well, but were SOOOOO happy to see me when I came to pick you up! You still nurse very well and are eating baby food for breakfast and dinner. Reese and Charlie are your favorite people in the world. You love to be outside. You are still sleeping anywhere from 11-12 hours at night. You rock!! Love you sweet baby!

Bible Study Children's Program



Today we had our Bible Study's end of the year program for the kiddos. It was so sweet. They came into the chapel singing Jesus loves Me and then sang sweet sweet songs for about 15minutes. It brings tears to my eyes to hear my babies singing about Jesus. I LOVE our Bible Study!!

Good job Reese and Charlie -- you guys make Mommy and Daddy so very proud!!

Reese's Dance Preview!

Today was preview day at Reese's dance studio and it was so precious to watch. Reese was front and center and did such a good job dancing and smiling. Cannot wait to the recital -- good job Reese, you go girl!!!!!

Mia Loves Bath Time!!

Where did my little baby that couldn't hold her head up go? Why must time march on so fast? One of Mia's favorite past times is bath time. She splashes and kicks and tries to drink every drop of water in the tub. Every night when we get out she's as wrinkly as a prune! Love that sweet baby face!!!

Ice Cream Truck!

Now that its warm outside, the Ice Cream Man, or in our case, the Ice Cream Lady, is coming down our street on a weekly basis!! I have such fond memories of hearing the jingling of the bells and watching for the truck to come down my street as a kid. I thought it was THE BEST ice cream ever! Something so special about it being delivered right to your curb!! Reese and Charlie were thrilled that she made her rounds this week -- now if I can only remember to keep some cash so I don't have to go digging for change throughout the house. You'd think the modern day Ice Cream Lady would take debit cards?!?!?!?!

Memory Lane

I LOVE this picture. Mom came over on Wednesday and when she got to our house, the kids and I were watching old home videos (one of Reese's favorite things!). I caught this pic of Mimi and Reese watching Mimi and Reese on the TV when Reese was around 15mo old! So sweet to watch my baby girl love on her Mimi -- and we all know, Mimi is her #1 favorite person on the planet!

Happy Easter!

The Easter Bunny made his way to our house this year. The kiddos got lots of goodies and were excited to rush down the stairs to see their baskets! Mia was very interested in the Easter grass in her basket.......she could have cared less about all the fun things inside! We let the kids play for just a bit, then it was off to church to celebrate what Easter is really all about. Happy Easter!

Easter at Mimi & Poppa's

After church, we headed over to Mimi and Poppa's house. We had such a wonderful Easter this year. My momma said it was "the best Easter she could remember!" I have to agree with her -- not sure if it was the yummy food, all the Easter baskets, experiencing Mia's first Easter, the boys vs girls softball game or just the fact that we had all the family together, it was just great. When we got to Mimi & Poppa's house, Mimi had a scavenger hunt planned for the kids to find their baskets. They loved it. They got little clues and ran from room to room trying to find their basket. It was a hit -- way to go Mimi!! Mia had a great first Easter -- she got lots of goodies and even got to taste her first ring pop (thanks a lot Maci!). Reese and Charlie had the time of their lives playing softball with all the "big people"......I see this as a tradition and the girls WILL WIN next year!! Happy Easter!

Easter Egg Hunt

The Saturday before Easter, we went to an egg hunt in PawPaw and Lala's neighborhood. The kids had a blast and I had lots of good photo opportunities!! This was our 4th of 5 egg hunts this year, and I think the kids would go to another one if there was one to be had! We are in sugar overload, but love Easter time!!
