On Sunday, Joe woke up and drove the kids down to the beach (all by himself!!) to meet me. He did so good and was there by 1pm!! The kids were so excited to see me and I could not wait to get my hands on them!!! The kids love any chance they get to "spend the night at the condo", so we spent a few days as a family for the kids spring break. Monday was Joe's birthday and we woke him up and gave him his presents in the room. Joe gave up desserts for Lent, which was really hard on his birthday, and ultimately meant no birthday cake for daddy. Booooooooooooo. The kids were really disappointed there was no cake and candles, but what are you gonna do?!?!?!? Anyways, Joe got to plan our whole day which meant the family went on a bike ride. I was skeptical at first, but we really did have a good time. We put Mia on the back of Joe's bike, the kiddos had their bikes and off we went. We found the neatest bike park that was shaded and through a national park, and ended up making for a great little ride. We went to lunch and then spent the rest of the day at the beach and pool!! Joe, we hope you had a wonderful birthday. Come April 8th, you're going to have more desserts than you could ever eat!! Love you lots -- you're the best daddy around hands down!!!
