Happy 17 month Birthday Charlie!!

Wow, time is flying.....doesn't seem like you should be 17 months old yet. Charlie is a fire-ball.....and I mean that for all it's worth. He LOVES his momma (my favorite), picks on Reese constantly, sings and dances almost all day and eats like a champ. He is right at 27lbs and quite tall for his age, although I won't have his measurements until his 18 month check up next month. Here's some pictures of us singing this morning......

he's doing "head, shoulders, knees and toes".....one of his favorites!

singing the "itsy, bitsy, spider".....he's singing the part, "down came the rain" right here!!

....."and washed the spider out!"
look at that face!!

Playing in Puddles

We don't normally let the kids play in dirty, yucky mud puddles.....especially in their Church clothes. Sunday, after church, before we knew it, these two mossed outside, found a dirty, yucky mud puddle and proceeded to jump/splash/wall-er in the puddle before we even realized what was going on. By the time I could yell/scream/hoot/holler at them, the damage was done.....so, what did I do? Run get the camera!!! And yes, all the dirt came right out of their clothes (sigh!).

she knew better once she saw the damage!!

Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt

We also had our neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt this weekend (it was a wild weekend....what made it even better is Charlie started running fever Saturday.....never fun). Charlie could care less about hunting Easter eggs, and is just happy to be outside, but Reese is really into it this year. The way it's set up for this egg hunt, each child gets 12 eggs, so Reese was guaranteed to find 12.....and that she did! She had so much fun this year, I can't wait until Easter Sunday!!

The Great Easter Egg Drop!

This weekend, we went to an Easter Egg Drop where eggs were actually dropped out of a helicopter in a giant field and all the kids were then allowed to run and hunt them. It was quite a neat little experience and a perfect day to be outside! Although Joe had to run ahead and get eggs to "re-hide" for Reese and Charlie, they had no idea and had just as much fun!

They had inflatables there to play on while we waited on the helicopter to arrive -- Reese LOVED this slide!!

LOVE this picture of them!

watching in "awe" at the helicopter

can you see the eggs???

they were so proud of their few little eggs!!!

Little Monkey

"Hey Charlie Monkey....."

"yes ma'am??"

"Does this look like something you're supposed to be doing?"

"What about this?" -- "I didn't think so.....now quit climbing EVERYTHING in this house!"

Happy Birthday Daddy!!

Joe's birthday was this past Friday and we have celebrated all weekend! He has had more parties and more cakes this weekend.....it's been wild. On Friday we had some friends over to help celebrate -- Reese helped me make cupcakes while Charlie napped -- she thought she was such a big girl!!

Reese pushing Scarlett in her baby stroller!!

Traffic jam -- there were a LOT of kids running around!

Joe got a new driver for his birthday from Reese and Charlie.....Happy Birthday Joe, hope you had a wonderful weekend -- WE LOVE YOU!!

We're in Pull-ups!!!

Reese has been doing VERY well with her potty-training and is very interested these days, so we decided it was time for pull-ups. To say she is excited is no way to describe this big event -- she is elated!! Here she is sporting her new "big girl diapers!"

ANYTIME I pick up the camera, Charlie stands and says cheese until I snap a picture of him. I've never seen anything like it....most kids run when you pull out the camera, but not this little ham......even though this was Reese's gig, he had to have his picture taken......so here you go Charlie man!!

A Day at the Park

We had a beautiful weekend and the kids, Mimi and I took full advantage on Saturday. Joe is out of town so we stayed with Mimi and Poppa for the weekend. I've been a terrible blogger lately. Reese had a double ear infection, and on Thursday, her left eardrum ruptured. She has been so sick but is finally feeling better. Charlie also had a double ear infection 2 weeks ago and has just finished his antibiotics today. To say that I am ready for some warm, pretty, healthy baby weather is the understatement of the year!! =)

trying the slide together.....oh dear!!

monkey bars for 2 little monkeys!!

the swings.....their favorite

merry-go-round.....another new favorite!
