Charlie's Tubes

We got Charlie's tubes this morning and everything went GREAT! He was such a trooper, no fussing, no whining about not getting his juice first thing, just a happy go lucky little guy who was wondering, "what the heck is going on mommy and daddy?!?!?!" We had to be there at 7:45am, so I literally woke him up at 7:30, changed his diaper and went straight to the car seat! Charlie kept saying, "where we goin' Mommy??" Once we got to the clinic, there were LOTS of toys and things to ride on, so he was content and happy. Our friend's little girl, Anna Claire, was getting tubes as well this morning, so Charlie had a playmate......even better! Dr. McCool said he did great, he did have quite a bit of fluid in his ears that they had to remove, but other than that, the surgery was quick and smooth. Charlie was only away from Joe and I for 25minutes.....talk about fast! We are so happy this is behind us and hope Charlie's ears get better quickly. We have to put drops in his ears three times a day for three days, and that has proven to be the biggest challenge of this entire process. Let's hope his ears clear up soon and he can be ear ache free for the first time in over a month!!!!

riding in the wagon with Anna Claire!

he drank 3 cups of juice by the time we got home!!

Reese and Mimi brought him get well soon balloons once we got home this morning. Charlie was so happy to see them!!

Still grabbing at that ear, but we're in good spirits!!
