Our first Goose egg!!

OUCH!!

Holy cow look at that goose egg!! Reese fell and hit her head this morning on the front door -- she is obsessed with going outside -- and whoa do we have a battle wound!! Look at the side view and how much it sticks out, ouch!! She screamed soooooo loud and I almost started crying with her when I saw her forehead. I know this is the first of many goose eggs....poor thing! After a little Motrin and some mommy loving, you would never even know it happened!!

After a long weekend of campfires, supper club, the park, church and a visit to Mimi and Poppa's, Reese could take no more -- the picture says it all!!

Joe is obsessed with having campfires, so on Saturday we did just that. Reese was mesmerized and was so content sitting in the chair and watching the fire -- that's rare, she doesn't sit still anywhere for anyone anymore -- she's a girl on the move!! Charlie was happy as usual just to be in daddy's arms!!

15 month check up

Reese had her 15mo check up today and all is well!!! She is 20lbs 8oz and 29in tall (that's 20th percentile for both!!) She did so good. She had to get one shot and she was not happy about that at all -- she screamed & screamed & screamed!!!!!! She is getting so big. She can say several words....her favorite is bottle and juice - we say those like 100 times a day. She knows a little bit of sign language (more, eat, please, milk) and is "toddling" around. She is getting so big so fast - it's so much fun but at the same time so sad to me -- my little girl is growing up =(

Happy Valentine's Day!!

I hope everyone had a good Valentine's Day -- we sure did. Mimi, Poppa and Kristen all came over on Saturday morning and we gave the kids their chocolate and gifts. Reese has figured out how to open up candy on her own and she really enjoys chocolate!

Rubbermaid Fascination

I don't know what it was about this Rubbermaid box, but she loved it and she REPEATEDLY got in and out -- it was really cute!!

Playdate

On Thursday we had a playdate with Liz and Maralyn, Jennie and Anna Beth, and Ann Marie, Emma Claire and Addison. Reese had such a good time. Ann Marie has a cousin that is getting her Kindermusic license, so she "practiced" on the kids....she did a wonderful job and all the kids had so much fun!

Reese has a big girl room!!!

Yes, she is only 15mo old and she has a big girl room!! Poor Charlie has not had a bedroom to this day, so finally today when Reese's furniture was delivered we started making the transition to her new "pink" room! We are going to put another crib in her big girl room and let her sleep in that until she can officially move into her big girl bed. We decided to keep the nursery a nursery and let Charlie have that room. We have him all new things as well to make it a little bit more "boyish" -- right now it is pink and green -- soon to be blue and green with a few sailboats! I will post more pics when I get both rooms done. We have a LOT to do to both rooms....I am having so much fun with this!!! =)

Weekend at Mimi and Poppas

Joe went out of town this past weekend, so me and the kiddos went and stayed at my mom and dad's house. It was so pretty outside, so mom and I took them to the park and played and had a picnic....Reese had so much fun. Charlie had fun too.....he pretty much just hung out and watched!!!

Reese and Charlie are really starting to have fun together. He is sitting up better and when she is laughing and talking to him he lights up....one of the cutest things I have ever seen!!!

We love Gymboree classes!!!

I enrolled Reese in a "mommy and me" class at Gymboree today and she had SOOOOOOO much fun!! She has not had that much fun since we visited Wilderness at the Smokies! We are going to go every Tuesday now and let her play. I think Reese laughed the entire time we were there -- she was all over the place and loved playing with the other kids!! The ladies at Gymboree loved Charlie too -- he of course was perfect and sat and smiled and "cooed" at the ladies the whole time.....too cute!!
