Last night we had the kids open house at their school. It's a chance for them to "show off" all the fun things they've done thus far, arts, crafts, etc. They were so excited to show Joe and I all their fun projects. They both have really great teachers this year, so that makes all this "school" stuff that much easier on me!

Homecoming Princess!
My sweet little cousin Maci made Homecoming Court at her school. Joe and I took the kids out to watch her during the halftime show. She looked so pretty and grown up.....hard to believe she's old enough to be a "Homecoming Princess." Reese thinks she's the greatest thing on earth and followed her around all afternoon. Charlie L-O-V-E-D going and watching the football game. He sat and watched the entire time we were there.....it's amazing how boys are just naturally into that kind of thing. Maci, you looked so beautiful yesterday and we are so proud of you and love you lots and lots!!

Happy 3rd Birthday Kate!!
Kate's Birthday Party was right after Austin's, which, by this time, our kiddos were so hyped up on sugar from the previous birthday party, they were wild. They ran all over Gymboree and climbed things I didn't know they could climb! They ate more birthday cake and then C-R-A-S-H-E-D!! I think Charlie was asleep before we made it out of the parking lot! Happy Birthday Kate!!
Happy 2nd Birthday Austin!!!
On Sunday, we had 2, yes TWO birthday parties to go to at Gymboree! I'm not sure what the odds of that happening is, but I bet they're not good! Anyways, the kids had a BLAST, and got to eat birthday cake twice and play at Gymboree all afternoon.....pretty sure they thought they had died and gone to heaven! Happy 2nd Birthday Austin!!

City Festival
Our hometown had a little festival to celebrate their 60th anniversary this past Sunday. Joe and I took the kids to enjoy all the festivities and they had a blast! Lots of balloons, ice cream and playground fun -- made for a perfect Sunday!

Roll Tide!
Saturday, Joe and I headed down to Tuscaloosa with Jennie and Ingram to watch the Tide beat Penn State! Yayyyyyy! We had such a good time. We had lunch at MugShots (yummy) and then walked around campus and visited old friends. We even stopped into Gallete's for a Yellow Hammer (my favorite!). A big thanks to Patti for watching the kids for us.....they had a good time too. They went to the zoo and played in the splash pad! LOVE football Saturdays!!

Fall First Day of MDO
Yayyyy, it's back to school time for the kiddos!! Today was their first day of Fall MDO and all went well. Reese pranced into her class as if she owned the place and Charlie did good too. He wanted to cry so bad when I was telling him bye, but he didn't. He held his blankey as tightly as he could, puckered his bottom lip out, and got just a little teary eyed, but held back, and I'm so proud of him. His teachers said he had a fabulous day, played well with all the kids and even ate his lunch.....yayyyyy Charlie! Reese did great too.....she was in her big girl panties with no accidents and played great with her friends. A successful day at school for both kiddos, now that's what I call a good day!!!
