Charlie and his Basketball

Charlie LOVES basketball, actually, he loves any ball, but right now, he really is into his basketball goal. Joe is always playing outside in the driveway with the dogs and Charlie would stand at the foot of the 8foot goal and look at us like he wanted to play so badly. We got him his own goal to play with, so now he and Joe can play together!! Again, money well spent!!

We got a playset!!

We decided to get the kids a play set and it is set up and ready for action!! When Reese and Charlie woke up yesterday, we told them it was being set up and they would be able to play on it soon.....

patiently waiting!!

We took the kids to have pizza in hopes that when we returned, it would be ready for them......but, we got home and the play set was STILL not ready! The kids were SO anxious to play and slide.....it was literally an all day process......

so, we went and had baths, and then went out to play -- it was completely dark outside by then, but who cares, it was ready and they were SO excited!!

SO much fun!! We also have 2 swings set up, but they are under the deck and I didn't get pics!

Reese can climb up the stairs or the rock wall -- Charlie man can barely make it up the stairs right now -- we've got some growing to do!!

To say they love their new play set is the understatement of the year. These kids will stay outside and play on this thing until we MAKE them come inside. I would say it's money well spent!!!

My baby is 18 months!!

Oh, where is the time going? My sweet baby turned a year and a half yesterday, which means my other baby is going to be two and a half in 2 weeks......ahhhhhhhhh, slow down kiddos!!
My sweet Charlie is quite the handful these days. Very energetic, loud and oh so stubborn!! He LOVES to follow his big sister around and do just about anything she does. He is talking more and more each day and learns a new word everyday! His newest thing is when you call his name he says, "what?" -- going to have to work on this -- we need to say, "ma'am or sir"....anyways, and he loves to see buses and trucks when we're riding in the car. He screams, and I mean screams, "BUSSSSSSSS" or "TRUCK" when we pass them and will continue to say it until you acknowledge him! He loves balls and usually has one in his hand if he's awake, eats very well and sleeps like a champ. I love him so much and can't imagine life without him -- he keeps me on my toes and I love that about him. Charlie man, we're proud of you and can't wait to celebrate many more milestones with you!!!

"Come here buddy......"

Last night after bath time I heard Reese talking really sweet to Charlie. She is such a little nurturer these days, and is always making sure Charlie is ok, has what she has, gets as many hugs, kisses, chips, cookies, etc, as she has -- (I think she gets that from me and maybe she'll be a nurse one day too!!) Anyways, she kept saying over and over, "come here buddy....come here buddy....." Charlie was reluctant at first, but finally gave in! All she wanted was to put her arm around him -- how sweet!! Had to grab the camera for this one!!

My sweet angels!

Barney at the Mcwane Center!!

We took the kids to see Barney at the Mcwane Center today and oh what a treat it was! We let the kids play with all the fun gadgets before the show. They had such a good time this morning.....

Reese and Scarlett playing with the mirror

Philip, Scarlett, Charlie, Reese and Audrey....like 5 little ducks all in a row!

It's no secret around here that we are BIG time Barney fans. I'm pretty sure we own every DVD he's ever made and it's the ONLY thing my kids will watch. I've tried other "kiddie" shows and they have no interest -- only Barney. When I told the kids we were going to "see" Barney, I don't think they really understood what I meant......until they saw him! This is Reese when Barney first walked in.....you can barely see the side of her face and the biggest smile I have EVER seen her display. She literally trembled with excitement. I've never seen her so happy and so excited before!! It was so sweet......brought tears to my eyes!!

we clapped......

we shouted "hooray"......

....and we jumped

......and jumped!!

Then we cried when Barney had to leave......such a good show, hope you kiddos had fun!!

Remember this?

Here's Reese enjoying her first bowl of "cereal and milp" -- she was around 19mo old here.
And here's Charlie enjoying his first bowl of cereal.....

.....he's almost 18mo old -- and did surprisingly well!!

Of course, Reese had to have her pic made too!

Smelling the flowers.....

We had a photo shoot this morning with an amazing new photographer and I am so excited to see the pictures!!! I caught a few of Reese this morning while we were waiting to meet her -- Charlie wouldn't be still long enough for me to catch him!! The kids did SO good and I think we got some really good pics -- I'll post them as soon as I get them!!!

Our new buddy.....

While playing outside yesterday we came across a fuzzy Caterpillar -- something the kids had never seen before. I thought they would be scared of it and not want to touch it, and that was pretty much the case with Charlie, but Reese LOVED it! She was so sad when it was time to tell him "goodbye" and come inside......we may have an animal lover on our hands!!

not so sure.....

oh goodness......

"mommmmmmaaaa!"

Reese gladly took over!!

Lovin' on my brother....

What I'm up against.....

Every morning, Reese wants to "dress myself like a big girl" and more and more she is wanting to do EVERYTHING "like a big girl." This morning, while I was getting Charlie dressed, I could hear her trying to get herself dressed all by herself. Moments later, she came running to show me her finished product (and she was SO proud!!)......

WOW......not only is our shirt and pants on backwards, but only one arm made it through the armhole, one pants leg is completely hiked up and don't you LOVE those pink and white striped socks????? Man, do we have a lot of work to do!!!

......with a little help from Mommy (and a hairbrush!!)

Happy Birthday Mason!!

Excuse the gun picture, but this is the only time I could catch him for a picture! We had Mason's birthday party this weekend and it was a blast. Reese and Charlie discovered their love for a skee-ball machine and we had yummy pizza and cake! Happy Birthday Mason -- we LOVE you!

they played this ALL night -- it is seriously the only thing they wanted to play!

I don't think this is what is supposed to happen...

or this.....

or this!!

but they had SO much fun!!
