Zoo!

My kids love the zoo. This will be our 2nd year to have zoo passes and we get every last pennies worth out of them. We've had such nice weather lately, we decided to take advantage of a beautiful day and spend it feeding fish and birds, riding trains, and having a picnic with our friends!! Lots and lots of zoo trips in our future!!

Baby Andrew's first train ride!!

And Elizabeth's first train ride too!!

My Pretty Ballerina

We had pictures yesterday for Reese's dance class. She was SO excited to be all dressed up and pranced around in her costume until I made her take it off. She did really good, and smiled really pretty......can't wait to see what they look like!! Mommy loves you little ballerina!!

can you tell she's excited??

twirl, twirl, twirl!!!

Reese playing with Elizabeth while we waited our turn (Elizabeth is Adelaide's sister and Reese is O.B.S.E.S.S.E.D.)

Don't they look thrilled? They were so confused when the teacher was lining them up for their group shot!

My World Today.....

Things are pretty crazy around here these days. As you can see, my kitchen is a total disaster!

Joe and I are doing a few home renovations and this week, they started the kitchen. Here is what the kitchen looked like the morning they started. Below is the wall that seperated the den from the kitchen......

Now, there is no wall! In fact, there is not much of anything left....they even took the ceiling!

They are going to continue to rip up the floors and the rest of the sheetrock, appliances, etc this week. We are going to be kitchen-less for 4-6 weeks, so pray for us! It is so noisy, the kids aren't getting to nap and we are living in our basement! It's less than ideal, but better than moving out, so I'm trying to remain positive! It's going to look sooooo pretty when we get done! More pics to come!!

Remember this??

This was a picture taken of the girls just before their Christmas dance recital. It is one of my favorite pictures of the three of them.....they are all still and they are all smiling......a rareity!!!
To help preserve this sweet memory, Reese's Gigi painted this on a canvas for her and I think it turned out so beautifully......

I still can't believe how well it turned out. I find myself just starring at it in amazement. Thank you, thank you, thank you Patti for taking the time to make this for Reese. It looks so pretty in her room and will be a forever memory for us. I can't say thank you enough!

My favorite Valentine's gift.....

Charlie's fingerprints made this heart!

Love, love, love this. He was so proud of himself when he gave it to me. It was such a sweet moment! Thank you my sweet little Valentine! I love you too!!
**On a side note, Reese was out of school on Valentine's day with a fever virus (that lasted 4 days, uuuggghhhhh), so she didn't get to give me anything from school this year, but she told me I was her Valentine!!

Reese and her Glasses

We had a follow up appointment today with Reese's opthomologist and all is well with her vision. She is still in the right prescription and doesn't need anything stronger at this point. Dr. M believes she eventually will need stronger glasses, but for now, we're staying put. She did really good at her appt today, and only cried when they put the dilating drops in her eyes. We have to get Charlie checked in 6 months to make sure his vision is ok, vision problems apparently are hereditary, although we have no idea where Reese inherited her farsightedness from???? Please pray that Charlie will be ok. It would be such an ordeal to have 2 toddlers in glasses!!

Theatrical Debut

Every Tuesday, we go to story time at our library. We used to try and take the kids to eat afterwards, but it's such an ordeal lately with so many kids (2 little ones are not pictured), that we've decided it's easier to just go to someones house and do lunch. Today, after lunch, the kids decided to put on a theatrical performance.....it was quite entertaining to say the least!!

Charlie and his Hat

We don't go many places these days without this hat.....he is obsessed! He even wore it to school one day! My little buddy =)

Beautiful, Beautiful Weekend

We had such a wonderful weekend. It was in the 60's on Saturday and Sunday and not a cloud in the sky.....such a nice break from this freezing cold weather. The kids skipped nap time all weekend and we spent as much time as possible outside. On Saturday we went bike riding and then had a picnic at the park. We have an awesome little park area with a creek and climbing trees. The kids LOVE going there -- and their big kid daddy had fun too! Come on warm weather, you can't get here soon enough!!!

Joe tried so hard to teach them to skip rocks......it was not very successful!

Look at that determination on his face though?!?!?!?!

And proof that mommy was there too!!!
