8 months old!!!

My little man is 8 months old today!! I can't believe how fast time is passing -- every day he is doing something new. He is getting up on all fours and trying SOOOOO hard to get at whatever Reese has. Today I took them for a walk in their wagon and the entire time, Charlie tried to take Reese's shoes off! I wish you could have heard Reese fussing at him. I just sit back and listen and try to soak it all in....I love the sounds of their little voices and the way they talk/fuss at one another. Charlie man, we love you and we are having the most fun watching you grow and explore!!

Weekend at the Lake

We went to the lake this weekend with Brent, Lauren & Wyatt and Paul, Rachel & Philip and had the best time!!! The kids had a blast and kept each other busy. They were hilarious taking toys from one another, fussing at each other, taking baths together.....they're going to be the best of friends when they get older (hopefully!!). Reese is getting more and more adventurous and even had her first SeaDoo ride this weekend with her daddy. She seemed to love it, but when she got back and Joe asked her a bit later if she wanted to go again, she immediately replied "no", so I don't know how much fun she really had! Charlie and the boys played really well together and now that we're home, they're zonked. Thanks Brent and Lauren for inviting us to go -- we had a wonderful time!!

Some of the BEST Daddy's Around....

Sunday was a VERY busy day for us -- we had lots of Fathers Day festivities and lots of happy Fathers!!! We had lunch with Mimi and Poppa and then they came over to our house to have homemade strawberry cake and open presents. Later this evening we went to Pawpaw and Lala's house to cook out and have more cake and presents.....needless to say, the kids were pooped and ready for bed when we got home!!! Hope everyone had a Happy Father's Day!!!

Meeting Sweet Scarlett

On Thursday we took all of Scarlett's future buddies to meet her at the hospital. Reese was a little intrigued, but for the most part just wanted out of the hospital room. Scarlett slept most of the visit and Philip and Charlie sat quietly and were well behaved as usual.....Scarlett has lots of little friends to show her all kinds of tricks one day!!

Sweet Scarlett

Some of our best friends had their baby yesterday and she is beautiful!!!! Scarlett Marie was born last night weighing in at 8lbs 2oz!! I couldn't wait to meet her. I snuck out while the kids were sleeping and went to visit. Jennie was such a trooper yesterday and is doing wonderful. Congratulations Jennie and Ingram and welcome to the world sweet Scarlett!!!
